AI Features & Disclaimer
RoleForge uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide features such as CV generation, cover letter drafting, job matching, and application suggestions — including matching African applicants with remote and international roles from employers in Europe, the USA, and elsewhere. This section explains the nature of those features and your responsibilities when using them.
AI Outputs Are Suggestions, Not Guarantees
All AI-generated content — including but not limited to resume text, cover letters, skill summaries, and job-match scores — is provided as a starting point and suggestion only. We do not guarantee that:
- AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or error-free
- Using our AI tools will result in more interview callbacks or job offers
- Job-match recommendations will reflect employer preferences at any specific employer
- AI-generated content will pass ATS (Applicant Tracking System) filters at every employer
Your Responsibility for Final Content
You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any content before submitting it to an employer. This includes verifying that:
- All information in your CV or cover letter is truthful and accurate
- The content appropriately represents your actual skills and experience
- The content complies with any employer-specific requirements
Submitting false or misleading information to an employer — even if generated by our AI — is your responsibility and may have legal and professional consequences. RoleForge accepts no liability for the outcomes of job applications.
AI Provider Sub-Processors
Our AI features are powered in part by third-party AI providers (including OpenAI and Anthropic). These providers process content you submit to our AI tools. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how this data is handled.
No Employment Guarantee
RoleForge does not offer employment and does not act as a recruitment agency. We are a technology platform that facilitates job discovery and application. The hiring decision rests entirely with the employer.
Job Listings & Work Authorisation
Source of Job Listings
RoleForge aggregates and curates job listings from a variety of sources, including third-party job boards, employer career pages, and recruitment APIs from around the world. While we take reasonable steps to ensure listings are accurate and legitimate at the time of curation, we do not independently verify every listing and make no guarantee that:
- Any listed position is still open or available
- The employer or role description is accurate or complete
- The employer will respond to, review, or consider your application
- Remote arrangements described in a listing will be maintained after hiring
Job listings are provided for informational purposes. Always verify details directly with the employer before committing to an application or accepting any offer.
Work Authorisation & Visa Responsibility
RoleForge connects African professionals with opportunities from employers globally, including roles that may require relocation to or work within the European Union, United Kingdom, United States, or other jurisdictions.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to work in the country of the employer before applying. This includes, without limitation:
- Obtaining any necessary work permit, visa, or employment authorisation
- Complying with the immigration laws of the employer's country
- Disclosing your work authorisation status honestly to the employer
RoleForge does not provide immigration, visa, or legal employment advice. For remote roles, you remain responsible for understanding any tax, payroll, or legal implications of working remotely for a foreign employer from your country of residence.
Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain full ownership of the personal content you create on RoleForge, including your CV data, profile information, cover letters, and any other documents you upload or generate (“User Content”).
By submitting User Content to RoleForge, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account.
We will never sell your CV content or personal profile data to third parties, and we will never use your personal content to train AI models without your explicit opt-in consent.
RoleForge Platform IP
All rights, title, and interest in the RoleForge platform — including its software code, algorithms, AI models, design, branding, trade marks, logos, and all content created by RoleForge — are and remain the exclusive property of RoleForge (“Platform IP”).
Nothing in these Terms transfers any Platform IP to you. You receive only a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service as permitted by these Terms.
Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas to us about the Service, you grant RoleForge an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into our products without any obligation to you.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers & Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The RoleForge Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components
- Any warranty that job listings on the platform are accurate, current, or that positions are genuinely available
- Any warranty that use of the Service will result in employment, interview invitations, or any specific career outcome
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RoleForge and its directors, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service
- Any damages resulting from your reliance on AI-generated content produced by the platform

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Where a liability cap applies, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of: USD 50 or the total amount paid by you to RoleForge in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites (including employer sites and OAuth providers). These links are provided for your convenience only. RoleForge has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites.

Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. As a pan-African platform, we aim to align with the laws of the jurisdiction most relevant to you as a user.
Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first if you have a complaint or dispute — most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication. Please reach out at legal@getroleforge.com.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to binding arbitration under internationally recognised arbitration rules. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation in your country that cannot be excluded by contract. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Regulatory Compliance
We operate in compliance with applicable digital services, communications, and data protection legislation across the African jurisdictions in which we operate. We maintain any licences or registrations required by law for the operation of our platform.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:
- Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
- Send you an email notification to the address associated with your account where the changes are material
- Display a notice within the platform on your next login, where appropriate
For minor changes (such as corrections of typographical errors or clarifications that do not alter your rights), we may update the Terms without individual notice.
Your continued use of RoleForge after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account.
